The good folks at Princeton Architectural Press were thoughtful enough to send me a copy of their newly release title, Taking Things Seriously. The book takes scraps--such as movie posters, ephemera, and other objects--and allows the owners of the objects to convey their excitement about the thingamajigs in short essays. Sort of like how we do things here on the ephemera blog.
The book was edited by Joshua Glenn, a Boston-based writer currently with The Boston Globe, and Carol Hayes a New York-based illustrator. Taking Things Seriously is good fun. And it'd make an excellent stocking stuffer for your favorite ephemera lover this upcoming holiday season. No doubt the publisher agrees.
